Does anyone know the history of these mamn made cavities? Some say it was storage some say it used to be Saunas for old folk. There are old ruins above the two caves looks like they were crushed by boulders.Which gave me a title for a book yet to be written,"If only stones could talk"Still trying to find my way round the new website & see that you have to wait for 7 days before you can put an external link, photos of the caves are on my skydrive storage so will have to wait.Nice to be back! We are still working our way round it too.
Didn't know about the 7 day rule but guess it stops spammers.
So maybe it's a good thing

They could have been used for storage, or possibly as shelters as quite often goats are seeing grazing on the hillside. I am sure someone in the local community of Kefalos will have the answer. Good luck with your research.

Hampshire eh
karen Ann that's where we spent our honeymoon & bought our first house in Southampton over 50 years ago! There is much to see in Kefalos& many old friends. When I saw those caves this time in September there were thre goats in one the big horned ram,his missus & a Kid.Allso had a message from a young Russian girl we Met In May & put her on the right track for fur coats. She came back & bought some more in August& was surprised we were not there.Met a cousin of Kamari boats when we were up in Zia & got invited round for cocktails.
Sue worsfold & her family are in Hampshire ,they usually stay in Dyonisia.Wea are back in May for 3 weeks staying in Andreas.Finished a book I was writing in May that was fun it was going to be on Kindle but the ghost writer copyrighted it which caused a few problems.Great to hear from Kef lovers
